{A Blissful Nest} Family Photos by Ryan Caliendo Photography

Last weekend we had our family photos taken by Ryan of Ryan Caliendo Photography. Poor Ryan had to deal with a very sick Lauren and it was super cold. She is kind of pouting in some of them! Ryan is so uber talented and has a very discerning eye. I can not believe some of the shots he got with Lauren being very difficult. I just love how his photos feel vintagy and his use of light is gorgeous. (okay do I sound like a photog buff now??!!). Just take a look at how fantastic he is.

We used 2 balloons in Lauren's favorite color yellow and my dad's baby chair (very sentimental to me since my dad is gone). I made her little bunting spelling her name out that I think I am going to use in her new room. I have to say I love the use of personalized props that mean something to you. It makes for a more sentimental picture and a story for later.

Ryan is so patient and knows what he is looking for in a shot. You really have to be that way when shooting little kids because they never seem to do what you want them too!! Like trying to get Lauren to smile!

These last few are my favorites of the 3 of us. I love when photographers capture people just doing their thing!
