Okay- actually I already have it but I want to tell you you HAVE to get it. If you bake a lot and want the ultimate easiest pastry bag, then this is the best thing out there. It had been for ever since I had used an old fashioned (normal!!) frosting bag and tip when I helped my friend Alex with her party last month. I had forgotten what it was like after using the
Mechanical Pastry Bag by Williams Sonoma. Have I mentioned enough how easy it is to use??? And so not messy. It comes with 10 tips too! You literally put the frosting in the canister, screw on the handle and push down on the round top. Voila- done and perfect frosting rosettes. I felt bad when I did Alex's cupcakes as I was super messy and just did not have "the touch" clearly any more. Okay ladies- go out there and get this and get spoiled and never go back to your old pastry bag.

I've been going back and forth about buying this for a few months. I think your reveiw has convinced me! Is it hard to clean?

ReplyDeleteYou're so funny. The difficulty of course had nothing to do with the fact that the frosting had chunks of raisin in it that clogged up the tip and made it 10x more difficult! So you went from fancy pastry bag to old school with chunky frosting lol. =)

Quick question - how durable do you think this is? Have you used it a lot? I was so excited about it and started reading some of the ratings on the product. Maybe those people are just careless, so I was wondering if you had any thoughts on that, or is it too early to tell?
