Nothing Like Spring Roses!

There really isn't like the first roses on your bushes. They are so beautiful and crisp. I had just seen in BHG a gorgeous arrangement by Mathew Mead with roses and cabbage leaves, so I thought I would try it out. All you need is a great vase, some of your roses from your garden and some cabbage leaves. Fill the vase with some water (add plant food if you have any). Trim the bottom of each leaf and line the vase with the leaves. Then plop your rose dead center in the middle of the leaves. . . and done! How easy and they are so pretty. Now I can give my husband flowers when he walks in tonight from work!

Here are the materials:

The Finished Arrangement:
I also made one for Lauren for her play table outside. I found these great buckets in turquoise at Target that match my colors in my outside pillows (pictures to follow just as soon as I am done out there!)I love putting fresh flowers in her room and thought it would be sweet to have them out there for her too.
So everyone make yourself or loved one a pretty little cabbage and rose surprise this weekend. Hope you have a great one!!
