Party Snafoos!

 {Lauren on her birthday night eating her pink cupcake}

 Sorry for being MIA yesterday. It was my birthday though it did not feel like it! Seems like that is the norm since Lauren entered our lives- but trust me I don't mind!! I would much rather the focus be on her. Anyways, we had some gliches in the party planning and it bummed me out. But I think we found a solution and it should be just fine. So here is the story. I ordered from an amazing cookie company custom cookies that match Lauren's cupcake toppers. I think the idea behind them was cute but the execution fell short. They arrived in not so great condition and I was REALLY bummed as they were pretty important to the table. But I called the baker who is making the cake, cupakes, and cake pops and ordered 2 dozen cookies. Thank you Esmeralda for saving me!! So we will have cookies- not as intrictly designed as planned but they will look nice.

So everyone I REALLY want to hear what your SNAFOOS have been in your party planning and lets all commiserate together as this DOES happen to everyone!! Come on- lets hear it!! See you Monday.

  2. Our cookies arrived late. The photographer took most of the pictures of the dessert table before the cookies were on it. Nobody noticed but me of course, but it drove me crazy. It still does when I see the pictures! We are so funny when the picture in our head doesn't turn out!

  4. During the Super Grover Rave I made "cotton candy clouds" in individual serving cups on the dessert buffet. I set it all up early in the party. By the time it was ready for dessert, the cotton candy had shriveled up into little wads of dark blue sugar. Kids kept asking "what is that? ewwww." Air ruins cotton candy, who knew? LOL!

    Oh, and I am so with Alexandra...When party planning outside, weather is always my enemy!

    Thinking I need to post this idea on my blog for some laughs!

  5. I had 50 balloons get tangled together! I was by myself 30 mins before the party and had to cut, untangle, and re-tie all of them!! With my one year old ( the birthday girl) hanging on my leg screaming the entire time!! Not to mention the three year old riding his car around as loud as he could!! I finished just before the guests arrived, but almost lost my mind in the process!!
